ipod set to shuffle re-discovers...

DJ Rap: Hot lady, hot tracks ...these two totally underrated albums: DJ Rap's Learning Curve- totally insane debut from the noted drum 'n bass dj that plays like a heat seeking missile aimed at your heart and head (and your feet) I love this album. Totally different from the stuff she plays in her sets...

Also- the final cd from Deee-lite, Dewdrops in the Garden. I honestly think this is their best album, cuz World Clique was great, but totally Bootsy-driven, while Towa Tei The Deeelite Dewdrops Divvy up the Doldrumstotally overwhelmed the production on Infinity Within. Here, Kier and Dimitri totally let go (Towa is barely in the credits and spent more time at the photoshoots for this one)and the result is a nooks and cranny dance record that is basically the best magic mushroom trip set to music ever. Love it. Music Selector is the Soul Reflector is just pure joy. I can still remember Parker Posey running up to us on the shoot for Frisk, totally excited that it was going to be on the soundtrack to Party Girl... awwww memories!
